Nintendo shocked the gaming world AGAIN by re-renaming their anticipated upcoming console, dIc. Pronounced "dik," the new name is the company's latest attempt to re-brand themselves as a socially-concious hardware manufacturer. An acronym for "Do it, Community!" dIc is part of Nintendo's efforts to better reflect their Blue Ocean philosophy.
When asked why they changed the name yet again, Nintendo PR responded, "We felt that with Wii, consumers were left scratching their heads. To better reflect our company's new aim and philosophy, we felt it was time to finally give it a name everyone could get behind, a name they could fully grasp. Something they could handle. Plus, we feel confident that the dIc will finally penetrate the ever-elusive female gaming market, thereby creating a new generation of gamers. There is no You. There is no Me. There is no Wii. There is only dIc."
