No, no, not the movie.

I just bought an engagement ring for my girlfriend. My hand was shaking when I signed the receipt. Don't know if that was because it was expensive or cause I'm nervous wink I'm going to ask her next Tuesday when we go to see Phantom of the Opera.

My fiancee knew I was going to ask her before college, so I guess the suspence of hoping she would say yes wasn't there...

I asked her when we were 17 and were 21 now. We were going out for 5 months and everyone called me a dumbass. Wedding is planned for next year when we graduate. That was the plan from the beginning and has worked out well.

Get ready for people to comment about your age. Everyone has to let you know their opinion. Even the people that don't know a damn thing about you.

Yup.

I got married when I was 21 and people were telling me I was too young and shit. People always think they know what's best for you, but when it comes to love, only you yourself know.

My wife knew I was proposing to her because I told her I was going to. In Scotland under a tree at the foot of the Edinburgh castle rocks. Some strange couple a few feet away started crying when they saw me get down on one knee, not because I was proposing but because my cock was hanging out.

It's a lot of fun! Check it out, you guys will love it. Or at least you'll love the aftereffects (husbands displaying chivalry to wives = wink P )

Dh = dear husband. I just started using it because it's shorter to type than 'husband', and 'hubby' sounds stupid

How far away is the show timewise? Is there anyway you could buy ad space in the playbill, and then put an ad in there saying something like "Amy, I'm just as obsessed with you as the Phantom is with Christine. Will you marry me?" D D D The last time my DH and I went to see Le Mis, some guy did a proposal ad like that and it was so romantic just to read it. Imagine just sitting there, reading through, and finding the proposal [bba64afed9f]to you[/bba64afed9f]!!! I would die )

But if you don't have the time to do something like that, get another plan. And then when you get there be prepared to possibly toss your plan out the window in case another moment comes up that feels "right";)

so when do you plan to get married?

Also, when someone proposes and gets turned down, does that end the relationship? or does it just put a hold on the proposal?

/\ may be a bad time, but don't stress it man, the worst that can happen is she'll say i'm not ready...

Pretty much. I could barely eat my dinner.

I decided to ask her while we at Phantom. "All I Ask of You" has kind of been our song for awhile. That's the song they play right before intermission. So, during intermission I pulled her into a side hallway and popped the question. The Fox Theater is a beautiful place, so I figured it was a great place to do it.
