im about to buy an old g3 ibook without an airport card. but i dont know which airport card works on the g3s and i dont know which ones work with my belkin wirlles router. can anyone give me any advice cry

ok i was just looking at some online and i found out the airport extreme is cheapier then the original airport card but i still dont know if i can use the airport extreme card with the g3

No....you can't use the extreme with a G3 iBook.
I got lucky on this situation....I bought a used iMac G3 localy and the guy that sold forgot it had an airport card until I went to see (and buy it). Luckly he didn't know the AirPort Card was worth ~$100....I got everythiing for $150

yep, you'll need an old airport card, not an extreme. It uses wireless B, and most wireless routers support B and G. Best place to look is eBay, and sometimes some of the ads in the back of MacWorld magazine have things like that at a good price ;-) Hope this helps
