In a sequal to CG's thread, comes my problem(s).
In the last week or so, for some reason I believe my screen is turning off. Never when I'm on it, but it's usually when I go to bed and when I wake up, the computer's running but the screen is blank and I'm forced to restart.
Also, my fan doesn't work. It works, but it barely runs. For instance this morning, I pick up my computer, and the fan is running. I open it up, blank screen. I restart, and the fan isn't running now, which causes this shit to get ridiculously hot.
Any ideas?

For the fan, it may be really dirty and clogged with dust and dirt...that's what happened with mine. Just take some canned air and blow it out if that's the case. As far as the screen, go to Control Panel then Power Options and you should be able to mandate if the screen powers off and goes into hibernation.
