I just set up a FiPG league. There are warmup games going on where you can earn Win Bonus' and the share prices are updated every 20 minutes I believe.
If there are enough people interested then we could get a pool going where at the end of the tournament, the top two people split the cash. The league keeps track of itself and at the end whoever has made the most, wins.
You'll need a BBC account but it only takes about 2 minutes to set up. If you're intersted, let me know so I can add you.

It's based on not only how they play, but the amount of press coverage they get also. Portugal and Mexico both performed well below what people expected them to, same goes for England, so that means bad press, more people selling their stocks.
Yesterday before the England game, for me they were at 38/share. Now they're down to 29/share because even though they won, they played absolutely shite.

Do they pay the given number of points per share (for example, 5 points per German share) if we have those shares during the entire weekend or is it just for so much time. The Dividends that are paid out every Tuesday are based on square centimetres of press coverage. To gain the full dividend for your chosen teams you must hold the shares from midnight on Saturday (so before you go to bed on Friday night) until Tuesday morning (when you'll receive your dividends). Dividends are paid in the early hours of Tuesday morning so you must still be in possession of the shares when they are paid. If you own the shares for a shorter period i.e. Sunday until Tuesday you will still get a dividend but it will be a smaller percentage of the full amount.
Press Coverage - We measure the amount of coverage generated for listed teams in the sports pages of selected national newspapers in terms of square centimetres. Which are then graded according to where they appear in the newspaper. Coverage is measured for every day of the week not just the holding period.
These figures are then applied to our formula for calculating the potential dividend and entered into the system.
The list of selected newspapers is as follows
Monday to Saturday Daily Mirror, The Sun, Daily Star, Daily Express, Daily Mail, The Times, The Independent, The Guardian, The Telegraph
Sunday Sunday Mirror, News Of The World, The Star On Sunday, The People, Sunday Express, Mail On Sunday, The Sunday Times, The Independent On Sunday, The Observer, The Sunday Telegraph.
We will only measure match reports. General England speculation and comments will not be included. All calculations are based on London Final Editions. No other editions will be used in calculations. Supplements are classed as any section of newsprint which is not numbered as part of the main newspaper, with the exception of those papers where the sports section is a separate section of the paper (e.g. In The Guardian on Monday, the only sport coverage is placed in a separate sport section, due to the absence of sport coverage in the main paper, this will be counted as main paper coverage).
yes, u need to hold the shares from saturday until the morning on tuesday. the key to remember is
a) these are LONDON papers
b) they use london times for all their deadlines.
it is well worth it to get the full bonuses and personally I would not buy any stock as soon as they win and hold them all week b/c of the daytraders. besides the win bonuses, i wait until friday to purchase my divi stocks.

That's the weird thing, it doesn't work like a real stock market. People bought the shit out of the France and Portugal shares since yesterday but their price was at 1.01. They said they investigated but said it was normal since many people sold their shares. Makes no sense since if there were many shares sold, there should be plenty available to buy. Even Italy's price went from 1.8 to 1.6 even though people were buying it.
Hopefully they'll release more shares before the weekend because I guess you'll be getting a nice bonus tomorrow too ;).

Yeah I don't see the point of limiting the shares, it just blocks out people from playing.
I had about 14 million shares which I'll carry over to the finals. Zizou's gonna have to kick some ass.
