I recently purchased a viewsonic 19" widescreen monitor which has a max resolution of 1440x990. A friend of mine is offering me the 6600gt OC for $50, but when looking at the specifications, I don't see 1440x990 as a possibility. Can i manually set this resolution, and if so, is it safe to do so? I'm looking at more high end cards and don't see this resolution as a possibility...am I missing something?
u may want to email the tech support people for this device. likely wont get a response until tuesday.

Most likely it will do it once the correct monitor INF (driver) is installed.
If it doesn't, a tool like PowerStrip will allow you to completely customize resolutions and I'm sure it will work. I'm pretty sure the standard Nvidia driver will handle it, however.
