Anyone ever get that? when your just about to fall asleep, and dreaming about doing something, and all the sudden it seems like every muscle in your body twitches? It usually happens when you are falling in your dream, and all the sudden its just like BAM and you wake up? It happens a lot to me when i'm sleeping on my desk in school...

Just curious if anyone knows what causes it, i personally think its cool, and wanna make it happen more often, haha... so is it just me?

When I have a dream where I'm falling, I always wake up a split second before I'm supposed to hit the ground. Then my entire body turns cold like a snake and everything is alright.

Happened to me a couple times...I'm like half asleep and and I have a dream someone throws something at me. Then my body twitches like as a recation to try and aviod whatever's being thrown. Really weird.

I get that all the time. I'm not dreaming yet, just half asleep. The kind where you're semi aware of your surroundings. I'll just twitch for no reason. Sometimes it happens several times in a row. It's really weird.

[quoteb57d4852b9]It can happen to people at any time, and repeated episodes usually mean there is an underlying medical problem -- multiple sclerosis, ALS, CJD, Alzheimer's or Parkinson's.[/quoteb57d4852b9]

Maybe I should be worried. (

Hehe, another weird thing my body does (RLS thread). Sounds typical...I'm half-asleep (not dreaming) then my body jerks suddenly. But I usually fall asleep right after. I think it's happened recently, but only about once a month.

My wife does this 3-4 times a week, right as we're both falling asleep. Drives me absolutely bonkers, because it takes me a good 15 minutes to drift off, so right as I'm fading out, I get jolted awake.

Same here. Falling off a building, hit the ground and BAM, my body jerks and I wake up for a split second. Even when I can't remember my dreams, I can remember this happening.

Even worse is when you get a charlie horse or jelly wrench in your sleep.

Same here.

Different parts of my body twitch at all different times and my wife thinks I have Parkinsons. I'll be sitting here and my hand will start twicthing, all my fingers, my wrist, then my eyebrow will go, then my eyelid, my leg, lips, arms, feet. I get entire body twicthes where I'll be sitting down or walking and my whole body will just "jump". (

Also, why can't you just call a Charlie Horse a "Cramp" and what the fuck is a Jelly Wrench? lol

Happens to me a lot......Not usually when I go to sleep at night, but usually when I fall alseep at my desk or accidentaly fall alseep on my couch or something.

I saw a story on Dateline a whileback where some girl died because she was sleeping and her alarm clock went off and she died from the shock shock

Because your asshole friends will then ask "Is it your time of the month?", and a Jelly Wrench is a Charlie Horse in the foot.

I've got the twitch thing too and It does happen to me when I'm falling asleep in class more so then in bed. It scares the crap out of me, but I always pass out right after so I guess it doesnt bother me too much.

i get that twitch where I have to just get up and run or stretch or something.

i love the dreams when you're falling and just before you hit the ground you jolt awake.

Just yesterday I had the freakiest dream thing, I was in my bed, but I could barely see because it was so bright, and I couldn't move, I was like paralyzed. I wanted to get up so bad, but I couldn't. Finally I just jolted awake, it was so scary because my "dream" was exactly at the time it was, but I couldn't get up. Freaky.

Happens to me pretty often, at least once a month. I get annoyed more than anything and half the time I gasp. roll

I'm just going to look forward to waking Brandon up when it happens, in about 4 months, 2 weeks and 4 days. twisted
