I just got a new laptop for graduation. When I plug in my ipod to it, I can't transfer music to my computer.. How do I do this? I thought it worked on my old computer. +KMA to anyone who tells me how to fix this.

There's a free plugin for WinAMP. Actually, I think they included it with the latest version of WinAMP. I've used it when I wasn't using iTunes, since WinAMP is my media player of choice.

I needed to do this after I dumped my hd. Make sure you have your folder options set to show hidden files, and then plug in your ipod. Just copy over all the music files into your music folder (even thought they'll probably be organized weird because of iTunes). Then go into iTunes and turn on the option where it asks you if can organize your music. It'll put all the music, podcasts, and video into organzed folders with proper file names and w/e.
