My company is falling for the Nigeria trick
Someone from 'Nigeria' wanted to pay for a seat on our flights, he sent a check and the check hasn't cleared yet and now he wants to cancel the flight and we are going to wire him $3,100 using Western Union.. I tried explaining that there's a scam going around like that, but they think everything will be fine... I can't wait to see what happens lol
Also... There are no flights that cost $3,100.. ?

Well, I received some bad news today.. One of the planes got in a crash.. The whole damn plane is underwater now. Thankfully, no one got hurt (there were 6 people onboard excluding the pilot).
I honestly don't know if he wired the money or not, the business is shut down for investigation and full inspection of the other planes.
... and I'm not joking.. I would never kid around about shit like that.

I've received somewhat decent call volume since I got the business license.. But it could be a lot better.. I think I can survive off doing sites for $$$ and my PC business until I find another job.
It's not 100% confirmed that I'm out of a job.. But I won't be working there for awhile until everything is all pieced back to normal (whether that means they hire a new pilot and purchase a brand new plane and get everything sorted out, or they wait until the pilot recovers and have a new plane ready when he returns.. Regardless, it's going to be chaos there since they've been booked all summer and have a bunch of flights that are supposed to go out. Especially with one plane beneath the ocean.)

There was a engine malfunction.. The pilot called SOS over a Satellite Phone to the U.S. Coast Guard, they crashed in the water and the Coast Guard rescued them.

Well, its official.. I'm out of a job. Their operation has been downsized. Which is understandable, seeing as they only have 2 little planes now (which are grounded) and someone from the FAA is conducting an investigation and ordered a full inspection of the other two planes.
