Im not the kind the kind of guy who likes to take naps during the day but
this afternoon I was so tired (dunno why since i didnt do any work today)
i felt i was gonna faint if i didnt get to at least rest my eyes for a few minutes. A few minutes becomes a few hours. I wake up at 830PM
And I thought it was 830AM I was confused because

1. Daylight lasts so much longer now that it wasnt dark at all

2. My breath smelled like "Cheez it" but i ALWAYS brush before going to bed at night

3. The forum time on fipg was "wrong" (said PM insted of AM)

I asked my sister what day it was and when she said thursday I felt like a dumbass. Funny thing is this is the 3rd thime this has happened in 4 years
Does anyone else wake up from naps thinking its the following day?

no, because I nap for like 3 hours every day.

No, but when I do nap I wake up extremely tired still and I'm always almost sweating.

Then I can't get to sleep that night.

i have had that happen. in college i got into a bad cycle of napping during the day -> cant fall asleep at night -> nap during the day...
it sucked
although playing quake for hours on end had something to do with it too

Long/Power naps that last several hours are bad.

Sometimes I nap for a few hours and when I wake up, I'm so groggy. It takes forever to get my head straight.

On the other hand, if you nap for about 90 minutes (I read that's 1 sleep cycle). It will give you a nice boost w/o making you groggy.

Yea, I definately don't want to get into this habit.

I have a friend that has such a problem with getting up in the morning for school that he has gotten in the habbit of staying up all night and then going to bed when he gets home from school...

Ha, I had something like this happen to me one time, but it was overnight. When I was in HS I had to get up at like 530am for marching band (don't laugh...and no overused American Pie jokes). I must've accidentally changed the time on my alarm clock instead of the alarm time. I woke up at 300am, got ready, drove to school, and nobody was there. I was kinda happy thinking that there wasn't gonna be practice wink

But that napping in the daytime thing has happened to me lots of times. It's especially disorienting when you go to sleep when it's light out and waking up in the evening when it's dark. But just think how messed-up h3x is.....nvm, he's already messed up on weed )

Well at least you got to go back home and get some more sleep before practice.....

I was in band too, and hated all the jokes

50 mins or less will keep you out of REM sleep so that you dont feel groggy

When I manage to fall asleep for a 10-15 minute nap, it feels like I've been asleep for hours. Best naps ever )

Must have been why I wasn't tired when I fell asleep during Law and Order and my parents woke me up when it was over.

I hate naps because i always wake up 3 hours later than i had anticipated. It throws off my whole day.

I personally can actually sleep better when taking naps, because when I sleep at night, i wake up like every hour to check the time because I worry about oversleeping through work, haha...

Yeah man happened to me once. I went to bed around 4 oclock PM and woke up at 7 PM thinking it was 7 AM the next day. I was like yess im going to go downstairs and than turn some ABC Disney shit (im weird like that) and than relax. My brothers friend rang the doorbell asking him and Im like wtf are you doing here dude hes not here. I think at around 8 oclock i figured it wasnt the morning.
