Hey I am selling World Of Warcraft for PC online. Some guy asked me if I could just open up the package and mail him the CD KEY. Should I do this? Or could he say that the key didn't work? Am I protected under this? Thanks.

I have read on other auctions that they said they could email you the CD KEY instead of shipping it. I guess this is because people already own the game and get banned or something. What if I sent it through an email message once he wins the auction? Could I get screwed or something?

He wins auction, sends you paypal.
You email him the CD-key.
He uses CD-key.
He does a paypal chargeback and you have no delivery confirmation so you are SOL.
You complain to ebay and paypal explaining you sent him CD-key via email. They ignore you and pretty much will not give a shit. Chargeback goes through.
He ends up with the CD-key and the money.

However, if he has great feedback (100+) and you trust him, go for it. Just letting you know you are not protected.

Ok, I sent him a message telling him about the money order. I just can't trust paypal anymore after I got scammed. Guy sent me a 360 game. It was scratched so I returned it. I forgot to get delivery confirmation. He says I damaged the game. He emailed me saying that he received the game and stated what shipping method I used, which I did not tell him. I told paypal about it and they said they had to have a delivery conf number or have him tell them he received it. I didn't get my money back. I hate paypal.

just tell him that is fine but you will also ship a copy of the code needed, and he must pay for you to ship that to him, ship him the code in an envelope with delivery confirmation or some kind... that way for paypal you have proof that you sent the code...
