OK, i'm on a Dell GX260 , its like a 2.3ghz and like 256mbs I think and i put in a 128mb nvidia video card. When i play maps with like snow on a LAN game with a ping of like 15 it lags like a bitch. When i don't play a map with alot of details its not to bad. Do you think if i upgrade the ram it will run smoother?

How much RAM do you have. You're need at least a gig if you want it to play smoothly.

Yeah, 256MB is not enough for that game to play with any detail. And you don't mention which Nvidia card you used -- they have numerous cards with 128MB, some of which are almost useless for modern games.

If you want to play state of the art games, I suggest an upgrade to 1GB minimum -- going from 1GB to 2GB made a noticeable difference for me in BF2. For videocards, I would consider a 6600GT a minimum for decent gameplay of recent A-list titles, and that's still with a lot of detail turned down.

my old computer
1.7 Ghz AMD, 512mb ram, 128mb AGP video card
ran fine

my new computer
2.8 dual core, 1gb ram, 256mb pci-e video card
runs about the same, maybe a little faster

so you don't need anything spectacular, but online is always ran good, even on my old computer. i think an extra 256mb of ram would probably help you a bunch
