I am thinking I got scammed from a buyer on ebay.
He/she(I get a email from "Yvonne"she states"we" in the emails.)
hasn't responded to my emails about my laptop since April 28.
First, they paypald me instantly. When they recieved the laptop, they said the dvd drive was broken, and demanded a refund. (The dvd drive worked for me)I of couse refunded them their money with their high feedback(400+)but they haven't had much recent account activity.
Now I haven't recieved my laptop back in around two weeks time.
I even paypald them return shipping money.
I just emailed them back. What should I do if they don't respond?

file a complaint with paypal, ebay, and the local authorities for the shipping address

yea, do this immediatly. They can still be tracked down before they move or whatever. you shouldnt have refunded until you received the item first.

heh, you should have waited until the laptop came back before you refunded the money. You screwed the pooch on that one.

haha damn.at least it was only $375,but then again this could come through.that seller is verified.
it was my first time selling too,so it's kind of my mistake.
paypal disputes usually do help a lot because the buyer/seller doesn't want to get in trouble)

Its totally ur fault dude. U don't give a refund until u received the item back. I doubt paypal or ebay can help u here. The buyer might claim that item was sent back, ebay or paypal can't prove that u they never shipped the item back.

we all live and learn but
ALWAYS request shipping via a tracked mail that is insured. require that he give u the confirmation/tracking number
ALWAYS refund after u get the item
IF they will not ship, then they dont get a refund )

report to the authorities now. they will help resolve this.

But in this transaction you were stupid. Swallow your pride and hope they can help. If not, then you learned a nice juicy lesson.

tell em you sold a laptop in working condition. the buyer said the dvd was not working and would return the item, since you saw the buyer had 400 plus feedback and was paypal verified, you decided to refund his money right away. 3-4 weeks later and the laptop has yet to come and he is unresponsive when trying to contact him. See what they tell you...

They should do something, as the buyer cannont verify that he shipped it back if he didn't provide tracking.

thats probably the way to go but since he had 400+ FB, and Craig said he was new to ebay, they wouldn't believe it considering the many paypal scam or whatnot that has been happening. (ppl filing paypal claims to get their money back for no reason).
Bottom line, u got owned.
also, since u said he was inactive on ebay, u could still get ur money back if he didn't respond to ur claim within 14 days, that is if he still has funds on his paypal account.

Did you send it with a tracking number or delivery confirmation? If yes, you are safe. They can't say that they shipped it back without a delivery confirmation number or you saying you received it. I got scammed on ebay though.. Some guy sent me a scratched game, I demanded a refund. I sent it back without delivery confirmation and he said he never got it back. He admitted to me through a message in ebay that he got it back, but that wasen't enough proof for paypal. Fucking jackoffs.

One other thing, as a seller, its never good to leave them a feedback right away. U should only leave them a feedback when they left one first.
In a case right here, the buyer claims the item has a broken part. Since u already left him a feedback, he could easily left a negative and u won't be able to counter with a negative of ur own.
If u plan on selling on ebay, its always good to have 100% postive.
