Thinkin of pre-ordering a PS3

I actually wanted to pre-order an xbox 360 (to resell) last year around this time but I straight up forgot. Now after seeing the disgusting prices the 360 went for on ebay, I am really interested in preordering a PS3.

However, with the new prices disclosed at $500 base, $600 premium (i think), I can't imagine too much of a markup for this system. I mean xbox 360 was buyable for $400 and was selling for $1000+ on ebay.

But does PS3 have as big a demand as 360? Can I expect to make some cash off it?

Also, are they avail. for preorder yet?

Just wanted others' opinions on this idea.

Yer probably going to get around a thousand dollars for the PS3 if you get one the day they come out. I'll probably wait outside the local electronics store with a few buddies and pick up 5 and see what I can get on eBay. worse case scenario you wont LOSE any money, you just wont gain your projected ammount.
