I made a few things in photoshop for my desktop wallpaper. I made a gradient backround that fades from white to blue, and it looks decent. Whenever I set it as my wallpaper though, the gradiency is all choppy and isn't smooth. When I view the image in Windows Picture Viewer, it appears fine. I haven't had this problem forever, it just started appear all gross. Any ideas?

Right click on your desktop, go to properties...then to desktop. Make sure the position is set to "Center" (as opposed to "Stretch" or "Tile") - hope this helps.

make sure the picture you're using for your background is at least the size of your desktop resolution (ex. 1024x768, or 1280x1024, etc.)

then check to make your your colors are 32-bit, anything less will make a "rainbow" pattern on gradients
