I saw an article in Popular Science where you can mod your iPod (themes, fonts, do not disconnect image change) so it looks really cool. Just tried it out today and it really looks nice on my iPod. It can be really confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it, it really is fun. The forums for the program http//www.ipodwizard.net/index.php are really helpful in modding your iPod to however you want it to look. I did mine today and already it looks nicer.

Sure, there are plenty of ways to. If you read the instructions you shouldn't have any problems.

I did something like this last year sometime. It's pretty cool but on a 4th Generation 20GB it looks like shite.

On the newer colour iPods or iPodVideo's it would look sweet though.

I have the 4GB Nano (color is a bonus) and there are so many things you can do and can make your own.

Question, when using the program in "EDIT MODE iPod", will this clear my songs? All I am doing is loading a a bunch of BMP files.

Your songs shouldn't be touched. It just changes the images and looks of the iPod.

I make my own themes for this. I really like this program.

I've used this for several years (thought there was a thread here about this a while back too)

I used it to change the disconnect logo and the font, but I didn't do any string changes like changing the ipod name or category labels. Those kinds of changes are the most risky.

Keep in mind, this is risky, and technically voids the warranty. If you ever have to send your ipod in to Apple for any reason, make sure you re-update the ipod with the unmodified flash first.
