This is probably the stupid question to be asked, but is there anyway to get radio on your computer? Like any local radio station broadcast on your PC? I just got brand new computer speakers, and would like to get a local radio station to play on my PC. Anybody know of a program or anything that would let me do that?
I'll karma whore whoever gives me the right answer 8)

Check the radio station's website, they may offer it over the web
Or, buy an FM tuner card
Or, if you have a radio with a Line Out, hook that up to your PC's Line In

You could also give satellite radio a shot. They have internet streams.

Set up an account, and then use one of the aftermarket players like XstreamXM to listen further.

Just curious, you said for your new PC. A PCMCIA card is made for a laptop...just want to make sure you're getting the correct hardware!

Eh, I can definitely see the appeal of satellite.
Sirius offers a lifetime subscription for one flat fee.. I gotta find a way to trick them into thinking I'm from the Lower 48 and get it running here in Alaska ?

The reason people pay for it, is precisely because it offers what you [ib5b874cbf7]can't[/ib5b874cbf7] have free. Just like cable, it offers tons of exclusive content. D
I thought everyone knew that already...

Well, whoop-dee-doo. )
You're not gonna get free cable in your car, or in your pocket, so sat radio is still a value. Even moreso if you drive long distances. You don't have to keep changing stations.
On the other hand, FM is becoming more and more of a wasteland of commercials, static playlists and infomercials. The only reason I'll listen to broadcast radio is for news and weather, and that's only AM.
To each his own, but I like sat radio.
