Putting music from my portable device to the 360 HD

How do I do this? I know how to do it from a CD, but I had a flash drive with music on it, how do I do that? Thank ya.

i tried to stick a flash drive into the usb ports before and nothing happened, if you can figure something out let me know. the thing that pissed me off the most about the 360 was i had an offline account that i had played games with and i couldn't transfer the saved files to my online account, it was stupid but i just replayed each game, oh well it was fun.

I'm not sure that you can do it from a USB device, but it looks like you can do it from your PC with a little hacking. Check this out or do a Google search for "Xplorer 360"

I do too, but it would be nice to store some things on the HD so that you wouldn't have to worry about the PC connection.

yeah I can play the songs off the flash drive but I cant transfer the music onto the hard drive. And you can't burn the CD as a data CD, you have to do it as music so you only get about 20 songs.

My onli beef with the 360 is you can't get files on it too easily. I got some pics on from a usb flash drive but it will not read a CD. I want to play some damn pron it it that I have on a disc. Damn you microsoft. Let me play my pron. Maybe I can do it when I buy the HD DVD ad on.

Is there a way to get video files without a media center pc?

is it true you can use it like a tivo?
