I have the 42" samsung plasma. its a beauty. I think samsung makes the best LCD / plasmas. My friend has a 60" sony plasma but thats kind of out of most people's budget so for most people, samsung is the best way to go.

The 60" Sony is probably an SXRD, which is their version of LCoS (liquid crystal on silicon). Sony discontinued their consumer plasmas displays a few years ago.

That's what I was thinking.
As an owner of a 60" SXRD, let me just say that it beats any plasma I've looked at.

Depends on which manufacturer and panel and how it will be used. There's no single technology that can satisfy everyone's needs; the plasma vs. lcd vs. dlp vs. lcd vs. lcos debate is silly in some ways because there are perfectly good arguments for each of them under certain circumstances.

$1600 and change for 4yr warranty, and the wall mount..
Or I can pay $1200 and change for no warranty and no wall mount
tough tough decisions..
Anyone have this TV and care to comment on it?
BtW it has 2 HDMI inputs and a BUILT-IN ATSC tuner...can't get any sweeter than that.

Ordering it soon as my Amazon A9 discount kicks in and my $1500 in amazon.com GC come in.. signing up for those dealpass programs on the gift sites pay off P
I personally prefer DLPs over any other.. I think Plasmas are the worst and CRTs are at the same level... It's gotta be DLP or LCD.
