Ok so I got paid $60 from a guy to give him two greens. He sent me a PM saying paid at 614 and then sent a second PM at 617 saying that his account is on hold and I should return his money.Since I haven't signed up for any of his site yet I am willing to return his money but I am afraid that after I refund he might get it charged back and I'll lose $60. Can someone please shed some light on this, whether I can be scammed in future if I return the money. He has a TR of 0 and is less than 3 days old on the forum.

If you payed PayPal, you can click on the Original Transaction, and near the bottom there should be a link where it says you can refund the payment. After you issue the refund, I don't think he'd be able to get more $$$ out of you.

Wait, [i6ebea61dfb]his[/i6ebea61dfb] account is on hold? Why is that your fault?

That's what I'm thinking. Unless his account is on hold because [ied0b9a2fd9]your[/ied0b9a2fd9] ref went red, then you have no obligation to pay him back. If your own account is still showing you green on your offer, then you've done nothing wrong.

[bed0b9a2fd9]Edit[/bed0b9a2fd9] Wait a sec, just re-read the OP. Did you actually signup for his sites yet? If not, then it's not so cut & dried. If he realized he was already on hold 3 minutes after he paid you but you didn't sign up yet, then I can see why he'd want his money back. I'm not saying you should, but if it were me I'd probably give the guy back his money -- maybe hold out $5 for my trouble though. But if you had already signed up for him before he paid you... then keep the money.

there is a way through paypal to revert the payment, not just send him the payment back, use that, and it just cancels the transaction, idk where it is, but search around a bit shrug

Are you talking about the refund option?

yes, because once you use that, they can't ask for more money back, because you have already refunded the payment, i don't think there is a way for him to scam you...

i don't think its a big deal.

If you didn't do any offers for him, then why do you deserve to keep the money. Jus give him his $$ back, and u should be golden.

It doesn't sound like hes scamming you...hes just being protective. But if you sent him money, and then you said you wanted to cancell the trade and get the money back....as long as he didn't go yellow at all for those sites, he should refund the money back. But if he did sign up then i say keep the trade.

Find the transaction in your PayPal history, click 'details', then click 'refund payment'. once the payment is refunded he cannot "scam" more money out of you since you refunded the entire transaction. there is nothing to lose by paying him back. it's the right thing to do.

In my very first post I said I am willing to refund your payment, even though I could have just signed up with the two site before getting back to you. I made this post to make sure that I don't get scammed later on. I was out of town for past 24 hrs and even though I had internet access this was the last thing on my mind because I was attending a undergrad research conf. So stop accusing me when I am willing to cooperate and be patient. You'll get your money back.
