a little bit harder when your making as much as I am and have only been on the job for 2 and a half weeks. Dont worry about lighting one up for me . Im off in another half and have a lot of smoke lined up.

nope none whatsover. The tech field doesnt really care about your personal habits as long as you can get the work done for the company you work for.

And I believ I live much healthier than the rest of my colleagues who seem to end up at the bar everyday by 530 and dont get home to the wife and kids till past 8

Depends greatly on the company you work for. I've worked in the tech field for about 20 years now. My company does random drug testing, as do most all Fortune 500's. In fact, I developed the random screening system my company uses to select people. )

Not that I'm concerned about it, I don't touch the stuff anyway.

Meh, I don't feel any stupider, other than a little memory loss, I'll admit that one....But I've held a job for over a year and a half now...All A's and B's in school, and I have a great deal of potential in Business and IT....So I wouldn't say stupider shrug ....I just take it as the world's gift to me lol ...

ya they tested me when i worked @ intel but i went the route of the wizzinator. its a great device. anyways to fail a drug test thats administered @ a techlab requires being an idiot and not being able to conceal it.

I'm familiar with the concept of the "whizzinator," but how the heck do you manage that unless you liknowli you're going to be tested? Did they not make random checks? Or do you just carry the thing around with you all the time. lol

At our company, an HR rep and a nurse walk up to your office and escorts you to a reserved restroom, where they wait closeby while you do your thing. It's about as secure as when I was in the military and got randomly tested. In the Army you'd have 1st Sgt's or Platoon Sgt's basically stand beside you and watch -- they knew all the tricks, because trust me GI's will try to think of ways around getting caught. )

this is practically a state holiday in Hawaii ( cry i miss it) but living here with my mom prevents me from taking part ( btw weed effects recording of memories but u can recall very well while under the influence, why do you think ppl have those deep convos wen faded i kno i did also it doesnt make u stupid i took man a math test high and had A's and Bs on all of them

You're young yet, give it time. ;)

It affects everybody differently, but plenty of research has proven that long term use has permanent or long-lasting effects on the body. Not only that but I've had lots of firsthand experience with what it does to friends and family members. Remember that I'm a lot older than most of you guys so I've had a few years of maturity and observation under my belt. Like drinking or most other "softcore" daliances, in moderation it's typically pretty harmless (unless you do something stupid like drive under the influence). But long-term, or even chronic short-term, use is guaranteed to have an adverse affect on you.

I can agree that it has long term effects but nothing remotely close to any drinking or even regular smoking. But moderation is key. Although for 9 months i smoked like 4 times a day and 2x that on the weekends.

Not much drug testing in the food service industry. I work for a catering company as a sous chef, and my boss, the Exec Chef and part owner, gives me some really good weed. Probably aboout an 1/8 every week or so. And knows i smoke all day at work. A little perk of the job D

I agree with most of what you say. Weed used in moderation will have very little harm. But i wouldn't say it has "adverse" affect from long-term use. The comparable long-term use of alchohol is much worse than marijuana. Cigarettes are also more harmful.

It's strange... These plants are not getting any artifical light at all (no fluorescents, high pressure sodiums, metal halides or any light bulb whatsoever)... Its all 100% Natural Alaskan Sunlight...

Whats even more strange?? The temperature here is average in the 30's. (For now.. It will get much warmer in the the summer). Its actually 38 degrees right now and sprinkling snow (however it feels like 45 outside, very pleasant temperature.).. Internal (inside) temperature is at 70 degrees with NO heating whatsoever.

Also, midnight sun begins in the summer.. Even now, its not getting pitch black until around 10pm. Example.. On the 1st of June.. The sun will not even begin to set until around 1120 PM. shock and even then, we are in the right position to where even after sundown.. It's still light outside.

I predict fat, juicy nugs when harvest time begins P
