Looks like I'll be able to hear O&A in Boston without an XM subscription after all...

It's [i3978eb1f93]so[/i3978eb1f93] satisfying to know O&A are replacing this moron. I'm stunned they even thought Roth could do anything. They'd have done better to have Carolla coast to coast, but even that would suck.

Howie's nightmare is worse now. Those who didn't want to go to either satellite network, can now have O&A on FM. This is really gonna hurt him.

Oh, and apparently Howie was bitching today about it, and offering Roth a midday show slot. I'm grabbing a torrent. D

Jake, I still want a XM portable site. The new handhelds rock. ;)

Almost forgot, you still didn't need a sub to listen

At least for 3 days.... ;)

My roommates and I are subscribed to Stern's OnDemand video channel, so I'm content to stick with that for now. (Still won't head to Sirius for Stern until there's a better portable device.)

I'm glad that I'll have the opportunity to listen to O&A without any additional investment now. I've still never heard them.

Some big words out of Stern today...

[quote4e3fc0c05d]Stern said that Opie and Anthony's return to traditional radio signified their "failure" on satellite, and he reiterated his intent to continue his program exclusively on satellite.[/quote4e3fc0c05d]

It's hilarious to see him backtrack like this. D

He's been talking about O&A a lot lately, something he hates doing, and when O&A started booking some new major name guests (Richard Dreyfus, for one) he vented on air, saying he can't get the same. He apparently then let fly the comment he had the same FM offers, and didn't specifically say he turned them down. That caused some press coverage (prior to the article you posted) that might have affected Sirius stock negatively, prompting Karmazin to push Stern to "clarify" his statements. (The article you posted)

They really [ife1103440e]are[/ife1103440e] a thorn in his side now. He can't even fight back without screwing himself.

This is funny...

Farid called into the show this morning, and denied Stern's statements, essentially calling him a liar.

Now I don't put it past Farid to lie. O&A fans know the guy, but he also denied it to the press, and I don't see them letting him get away with that if they know the opposite is true.
