K so, I work at target. And I saw that we had a "FM transmitter" on clearance for like 9-10 dollars, 75% off, and it said that it worked on all ipods, so I bought it. Its a little piece that sticks into the headphone jack, only problem is, theres also a little chip on it, and theres no spot for the chip on the ipod. Is this outdated or something?
But besides that, nother question. There was also a Griffin iTrip on clearance from 25 to 21. I was wondering if this is a good deal, and if this one is going to work or not either, because I thought it might be outdated. I saw other iTrips there, but they plugged into the USB part instead of the antenna.

ahahahahaha
it was all iPods when they made it. You got the wrong version, but i'll buy an iTrip off of your store if it's the one that has the little red LED light...

You have the one for the 4G iPod. You need one that doesn't have a headphone jack or that hooks into the dock connector port.
Those iTrip 4Gs are shit.. except when you pop them open, cut a hole at the top and push the internal antennae through the hole.. you gain about 10 feet and great reception from doing that.

does that help a lot? I have a 4G but since I live in LA I can't get a open station anywhere on the fm..and the itrip isn't powerful enough to completely over power the stations...I only can use it when I go on trips and get out of the LA area.

I use (and sell through my company) the Designtech 20800 FM Voyager, rather then spam for my company, I will just post a google search for the product and you can price shop it.
It plugs into the lighter in your car, and then your ipod connects to the lighter plug via a retractable mini cable they provide, works flawlessly for me and my wife.
search google for designtech 20800 and some decent prices come up, don't pay more then 35 bucks for it new.
