Well, I'm looking for constructive critisism for some of those photographers on this site! I Know there are some out there so lets hear some opinions on my pictures! Tips on what to do differently and things, these are just a few pictures I took earlier this week! I did some editing to some of them, and some are just as they came off the memory card...

Probably one of my favorite pictures from the day. I edited a Barn out that was to the left of the far windmill.

Not Edited, Wish I had taken the picture with more of the left to give some space between the edge of the picture...

That is the main ones that I liked and want opinions on, what should I change with my future photography?

I love the picture of the chruch. You got a good angle but the little tree sticking out to the right is somewhat distracting.

The Windmill picture (5th) down would've been great if you had put the sun behind the sticky out thing. Also the lense flare is distracting.

The last picture has a good contrast in it, but if you had centred it or gotten an angle so that the building was on one side of the photograph and the rest had nothing or maybe some trees, it would've looked a lot better.

The 3rd Windmill picture is a little over-exposed and you've chopped the top of it off. Not sure what your camera can do but try putting your aperture up a few stops. Your pictures will be sharper and the sky won't be as faded.

The first picture I think would be amazing if you could highlight the Windmill in the background as well. I've been looking over them for about 5 minutes and only just noticed it.

Whenever I go out to take pictures, I take pictures of everything, at least that way your bound to get at least 1 good shot. Plus, the beauty of digital photography is that you can take as many as you want, see if you like them and then get rid of the shit ones, so the only time you're wasting is holding the camera to your eye and uosshing the shutter button.

I'm taking my pictures w/ a Sony W-7, nothing fancy, but does the trick for me at my level. I only have a 256MB Memory Card so I can't hold enough pictures for a day of shooting, but I purchased a 2GB card yesterday, it should be here by next weekend, then I will be able to shoot away and then narrow down the pics on my computer. Thanks for the tips so far!

I was gonna say I really like the church photo too, the color of the sky especially. As for the first photo, you can play around with the contrast and saturation so you ened up with a stronger image.

I always take the same-ish photo like three times now, and keep the one that comes up best. If you ever see a photo roll taken by a professional, you might see a lot of plain pics and then a great one here and there. For storage, you can get one of those ipod camera adapters to add to those 2 gigs if you need it.

yea sunspot got edited. looks better.

the last building is just really bland, i like the cracks in the beginning of the concrete on the left side then it gets really bad, that could of made the picture. the building itself is boring in a sense, with the closed off windows and antennas on top.

Your composition seems off, cutting off things that should be left in or more of. The quality lacks in some, and there is a white haze in the large ones, which happen to come from original sized images. If you're going to do editing, I suggest Photoshop so you can get the feel of what levels and contrast does. That sun is too too bright, and it casts that same haze I told you about over that windmill. Most of them look like point-and-shoot, without any thought into them. No original angles, something to attract the eye and make ordinary things look differently, with some kind of feel. And going crazy with the angles won't give that feel, it's just the basic of things instead of being straight foward, especially in nature.

Yup.
