Our iBook broke for the third time so we said F it and bout a MacBook Pro. This thing is so sweet. Waaaaay faster. The built in camera is cool too. I hope Apple will replace out iBook that has the faulty logic boar for the third f ing time though.

I know someone who just got one of them. They are really, really nice. I want one so badly after seeing Boot camp. D

yeah, i think boot camp will definately sway quite a few people, such as myself. i will not be able to afford to upgrade to a new computer for a loooong time, but i dont think i would hesitate as much to get a mac next time around. while i like to play around on macs, i just like windows too much (yes, i said it) and everything i do is windows based. it really is a "best of both worlds" situation, now.

i just want to see a demo of boot camp on one of the macs in a mac store next time i go to one ;)

I can't wait to get one! I should be getting mine by the end of the month. but congrats!

actually, i have been looking really seriously at this boot camp thing. it is possible to install it on an existing macbook pro with tiger, correct?

i was wondering when leopard comes out too --- if anyone knows yet.

You can dl a beta on the apple site already

But I think Leopard isn't coming until near the end of this year, about the same time Vista is due to come out.

I also am a Windows person, but am now really interested in a Macbook. I think this was [i87a55e9cbd]really[/i87a55e9cbd] smart on Apple's end.

I plan on getting a Macbook by the end of the month. Just in time for the new stock of updated, glitch-free Macbooks to be sold just about everywhere.

i have heard that some of the macbook pros are having problems, but do you know when they plan on announcing a new version with fixed bugs?

I believe they are already ready to release an updated macbook, which fixes some of the major problems with the current models. Such as extreme heat problems, and the power inputs catching fire....

I plan on getting a MacBook soon too. Maybe in the next month or so.

Also, I think Leopard is supposed to be released in August.

I think Leopard is set for a Q12007 release.
If you have Tiger installed already Boot Camp comes with the ability to resize partitions apparently so you wouldn't have to re-install.

Yep, I was wrong.

From an article at appleinsider.com

Apple is widely expected to reveal the feature set of Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard during its World Wide Developers Conference, which will take place in August. It's possible that some of the features described in these patents and others may make their way into the operating system. While Apple has provided little to no information on Leopard, it has stated that the operating system update would ship in late 2006 or early 2007.
