Pretty good episode huh?

Started watching it live for the first time ever and decided I can't stand commercials and will wait to download it tommorrow. Funny how the show seems to have such a better flow to it without the commercials. All the cliffhangers leading to commercials are nonsense anyways.

Well anyways discuss the episode. I'll be back sometime tomorrow.....

That's what I do with 24. I used to like watching 24 in the UK because there were no adverts but here it's like every 10 minutes you get 5 minuts of ads. roll

This was a good episode but nowhere near as good as last weeks, or even the week before's. I am glad that it's becoming more frequent though, however I have a feeling it's all going to go on a 9 week hiatus soon.

"Henry" "God can't see this island... just like the rest of the world"

Discuss.

I thought that the episode was very interesting, a lot to think about. Whats the deal with Libby in the mental hospital, eh?

I love the show, but I think they need to tighten things up. I know they are trying to make the show last, but I think they have too many threads going at once and there is not enough time to get to them all in each episode. So we go several episodes before anything happens. Namely, I am frustrated that they introduce the map last week and make absolutely no mention of it this week. Not even 30 seconds of Locke telling someone about it. It makes no sense for him to keep that to himself.

On the plus side, I am glad they stopped talking about the Austrailian chick and her baby. Her voice just gets on my nerves. No we just need a dingo to come along and eat that baby...

I had the Dave guy being a figment of Hurley's imagination from the begining but the twist at the end was awesome...

Godrockdj

Yeah the Dave thing was pretty obvious (even if you hadn't read spoilers) but I really like how the writers made this "figment" kind of into Hurley's 'spirit of gluttony'.

Right before the revelation that we get to see Libby in the mental hospital, she and Hurl=ey are walking back from the cliff. Hurley asks her if she really thinks he can change, and she says yes. But after that he has his back to her and she makes this [ie2f7ceb85d]face...[/ie2f7ceb85d] Is it disgust? Bad memory of the flashback we're about to see? Is she conning Hurley? Here is a good look at the face[ey are walking back from the cliff. Hurley asks her if she really thinks he can change, and she says yes. I think she was just worn out from having to talk her friend from jumping off a cliff... I would be tired after something like that.

More THOUGHTS

[i70bca1636c]If you go back to the episode where Hurley goes back to the Insane Ward to talk to Lenny about the numbers. There is a Janitor or Maintenance guy on the ladder fixing the lightbulb. It is the fake "HENRY GALE". I checked it out because I knew I saw Henry Gale before and when you go back to that episode Hurley tells the guy to stop fixing that lightbulb because people just seem to fall or get hurt around Hurley. I'm telling you all...I paused it and it is him. Same face, of course a little more weathered these days. Check it out!

----

Last night before Dave jumped, he said "See you in another life." Sound familiar? That is also what Desmond said to Jack AND it is what Nadia wrote on the picture to Sayid AND it is what Locke's dad said to him as they were going into surgery for the kidney transplant. Coincidence? I think not.

Here is the picture that was taken of Hurley and Dave

Here is the picture that the Doctor showed Hurley later!

there are clearly differences between the two, person missing in the background, different guy at the table, one shot during the day and the other at night, items moved, etc.

Are these continuity errors by ABC or is it intentional? If ABC really wanted to be consistent, they could have filmed the scene and edited out the imaginary friend.

If the second picture is not altered, that would mean that all the people in the mental hospital were imagined by Hurley - however, the nurses at the hospital only give meds to Hurley and Libby.

In the first picture, the guy in the background playing Connect 4 is not Leonard - but he's got to be someone with a connection to the island.[/i70bca1636c]

You got a screen shot of "Henry Gale" at the looney bin?

Godrockdj

06-04-2006 10:51:51

I don't, that thought was grabbed from somewhere else but I'm searching for a shot at lost-media.

In the the meantime more food for overanalyzing - The deck that Hurley walked onto was made for [be5a6bfb0dc]8[/be5a6bfb0dc] but instead there were [be5a6bfb0dc]23. 15 more[/be5a6bfb0dc] than there should have been. When Hurley walked on it made [be5a6bfb0dc]16 extra[/be5a6bfb0dc]...

strange episode. I also don't know what to expect of all this info. I don't know who's real and who's not.

The discrepancy of the pictures also makes it much more confusing. I'm sure the editors of Lost pay attention to the tiniest detail to make the show have subtle revelations. Many of the Lost viewers are very anal about things like this so I doubt the discrepancy was unintentional.

I also caught the face Lib gave Hurley when he turned his head the other way. Very weird show. I have more questions after this show. I love this complete utter confusion. roll
