Oh, he is SOOO gonna get it. When I first went there, he had 348K hits. From the time it took me to read his short web page, maybe 2 minutes, his counter was up to 357K.
In the time it took me to type this post, it's now up to over 360K. That's 12K hits in under 5 minutes.

However, if you read the contract, he can't possibly win. The contract says "unique" hits. That means, whether I click once or 8 million times, it should only register as one hit. And that means one hit for the whole year. I would imagine the counter site doesn't have the capabilities to figure that out. Therefore, the contract should probably be thrown and neither event should take place.

This sounds like a pretty marketing ingenious idea to me. Kind of like the "Million Dollar Home Page" or the eBay "My ex wife's wedding dress" stuff.
1) Get a short term web hosting that can push gigs of data. Don't need much hosting.
2) Get 2 mutual friends to take pictures as a 'couple'. Get them to sign waiver or give them a cut
3) Post some links, google ads, etc on the page. Make it subtle, like this guy.
3b) Ask for 'donations' to help said site keep running.
4) I personally would have made it 10,000,000 or something. 2,000,000 with word of mouth on the internet is nothing these days.
5) Profit.
I don't know how much pay-for-click places pay. But say it's $0.01 and only 5% of people actually click the link. At 2M visitors that's still $1000, and I personally think that's Worst Case Scenario.
