the main diffrence im seeing right now besides the 100$ price diffrence is the first one is a bigger screen, bigger hardrive (can make the other one have a 100 gig hardrive for 30$ more), heavier, and the dual proccesor over the centrino proccesor

i dont know the diffrence between them, i know centrino is specifically made for laptops so its probabaly better on battery life. not familer with the dual core though.

im leaning towards the xps right now but there are soo many good coupons to get the Inspiron E1505 i have one laying around somewhere for 40% off so it is realy 1200$ not 1250$ or watever it is now.

this laptop is gonna be used in college because im majoring in engineering

wat do u guys think

I'd go with the dual-core.

Get a MacBookPro with Bootcamp =D That's what I'm going for.

But from that list, definitely the dual core.

dual core is intel's new technology. i also suggest the dual core.

so dual core is better than centrino, im leaning more towards the dual core one now,

i have a 40% off coupon plus the 2% off from DPA acctoun than the 1% cash back from instantprofitz shopping link. in the end its gonna cost 1160$ with 20$ cash back from instantprofitz for a grand total of 1140$. if anyone has any other coupons i should know about i will add them as well. thanks for ur help

If you're ordering it from the Dell website...are you using a college student discount? I get a discount of about 4% if the price is between $800-$1600.

Don't get the XPS, they suck at price to value. Just not worth it.

You can get this DELL XPS M170
Intel Pentium M Processor 760 (2GHz/2MB Cache/533MHz)
1GB Ram
60GB Hard Drive
256MB 7800GTX (!)

For 1322 (or cheaper with your coupons, don't know). The advantage is the video card, but if you are not into gaming forget it. Go to SD to read how if you are interested.

If you are getting a Dell figure out what you want and wait until you can get a deal or coupon. They are offered like every week...

yeah ive been waiting i have a 40% off coupon currently which will save me 800$ than the 2% from DPA and the 1% cash back from IP i should be getting a pretty good deal. i dont plan on using this for gaming realy.

Im getting an even better deal than i thought i decided to order this thru gamesgift.com with my points i have there. i paid 50$ a green and im using i think 14 or 15 greens for this prize i have to talk to owner. 600$ total for this laptop is a pretty good deal.
