[quoteeba105ae04]McDonald’s Hamburger Seasoning
Use THIS seasoning on ALL McDonald’s hamburgers.
4 tablespoons salt
2 tablespoons Accent® (MSG)
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
Mix all ingredients well. Use in a spice shaker with big enough holes for the pepper to flow.
This seasoning is used liberally on all McDonald's hamburgers during the COOKING process.[/quoteeba105ae04]

[quoteeba105ae04]Big Mac

Big Mac Special Sauce
1/4 cup KRAFT Miracle Whip
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons, heaping, WISHBONE deluxe French salad dressing (the orange stuff)
1/2 tablespoon HEINZ sweet relish
2 teaspoons, heaping, VLASIC dill pickle relish (Heinz dill relish also works)
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon dried, minced onion
1 teaspoon white vinegar
1 teaspoon ketchup
1/8 teaspoon salt
Mix everything very well in a small container. There better be no streaks! Microwave 25 seconds, and stir well
again. Cover, and refrigerate at LEAST 1 hour before using. (to allow all of the flavors to "meld") Makes nearly
1 cup… enough for about 8 Big Macs™.
Ingredients (per sandwich)
1 regular sized sesame seed bun
1 regular sized plain bun
2 previously frozen regular beef patties
2 tablespoons Big Mac sauce
2 teaspoons reconstituted onions
1 slice real American cheese
2 hamburger pickle slices
1/4 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
Cooking your Big Mac™
Discard the crown half of the regular bun, retaining the heel. The cooking method for the Big Mac™ is
basically the same as the regular burgers, only the bun toasting method is slightly different. In the Big Mac's
case you toast the bottom (heel) first. Do this along with the extra heel. (this will be your middle bun)
Cook the two-all-beef-patties just like the regular burgers. After the bun parts are toasted, put 1 tablespoon of
"Mac sauce" on each of the heels. (toasted side) Then add 1/8 cup shredded lettuce to each. On the true
bottom bun, place one thin slice of American cheese on top of the lettuce. On the extra "heel", the middle bun,
place two pickle slices on top of the lettuce. Toast the "crown" (top) of the bun also. When the meat patties
are done, place them one at a time on both prepared buns. Stack the middle bun on top of the bottom bun,
and put the crown on top.
For proper "aging" or "Q-ing"… wrap the finished Big Mac® in a 12"x18" sheet of waxed paper as follows
1. Center the burger, right side up, on the waxed paper. Fold the "long" ends of the paper up over the top. (It
will resemble a tube with the burger in the center)
2. Fold the two remaining ends underneath. Wrap snug, but don't squish it like the regular burgers.
3. Let sit 5-8 minutes, allowing the flavors to "meld".
4. Microwave, still wrapped, 15 seconds on high.[/quoteeba105ae04]

It's still a fucking rip-off for the size of the Mac you get, its not like the good ol' days where it actually lived up to its name..

well if u buy the precut beef but if you buy the basic beef u gotta pack the hamburger etc. then u gotta put it on the grill/stove watch it. then you gotta make the sauce , plus cut up the vegatables.

IAWTC

What's precut beef? Or do you mean pre-pattied beef? That's retarded if you do, because you need to mix in your own spices anyway. I usually throw in some garlic salt, onion powder, ground black pepper, italian-seasoned bread crumbs, and some Texas Pete hot sauce. Mix it up, patty it, and grill over charcoal.

Tholek

It won't taste the same. McDonalds buns are full of sugar, unlike store bought buns. The rest sounds close enough.

Jake

03-04-2006 06:21:53

I'd rather make my own. McDonald's burgers taste bland and hardly count as food, IMHO.

Exactly. I can't think of a better way to make a burger than with real ground sirloin over a charcoal grill.

Ditto again. If you're going to be making your own burgers, why the hell would you try to replicate the shittiest burgers in the world?

McD's burgers suck the big one.

My wife managed a McD's (actually, 2 McD's) for 3 years. Don't get me started on them... my wife neither. She won't set foot into a McD's now, and quickly learned not to eat their food when she worked there. )

I learned how to make burgers from my dad. I have NEVER had anyone tell me that my burgers aren't good. I can't tell you exactly what I put in them, but I can tell you that bread crumbs and an egg really help the burger stick together on the grill.

Also, you're not a man if you cook on a gas/propane grill. Real mean use charcoal (no lighter fluid!!!). ;)

dmorris68

03-04-2006 15:43:54

When I was growing up I learned to make burgers with Lipton Onion Soup Mix (dry) and an egg. Those were awesome, but I'm too lazy nowadays to mix it up, so I just cook Bubba Burgers. )

The best burgers are cooked on a stove. You can not get enough "other" flavor on a charcol or propane grill. It is all about cooking your burger on a pan embedded with the spices you love.

We just got a white castle here in Flint MI a few months ago so don't feel to bad. I just said White Castles because I remember how much I loved getting them when ever I went to Pontiac to visit my aunt which was like several years ago. I,ll be going to the one here in Flint soon when ever I can get a ride there since it's on the other side of town. Since the last time I visited the restaurant I have been getting the burgers from the grocery store. They are still very good just not as good.

By the way Rallys fries are the bes. D
