How to rip a DVD clip?

I have a DVD here and want to rip about a 2-3min clip and maybe encode it at a lower quality depending on size. WHats easiest way to do this?

maybe tmpgenc??

i havent used that in a long time. I gorget if i have to rip the entire dvd frist then load it up or what

i havn't used it in awhile either...you have to rip it to the computer first /me lishrugsli

I've used handbrake to do that. i think it's available for windows too;
