Wouldn't it be wierd gaming with a remote?

I think that is going to be hard getting used to. Probably will get on my nerves for about 2 months, I will hate the game system, and then want to sell it on eBay but I won't because I know it will become better. But then it doesn't and it sucks. ) My video game history has been summarized in a nutshell.

lol @ their controller.
So is it like a remote controlled dildo? You shove the rectangle part in and use the controller to vibrate it?

The design is kinda unimpressive next to the 360 and the PS3. I hate this remote controller. I don't know what it'l be like but I don't like it already.

I think the remote has potential. However, I was reminded recently of the Virtual Boy, Nintendo's system that used VR-style goggles and stereography to create 3D wireframe graphics. That system was incredibly innovative, but ultimately failed.

yeah i remember when n64 came out , I thought the coolest thing was the new analog stick in the middle, as apposed to the old D-pad. lol super mario 64 days, good times. and then the rumble pack that came bundled with starfox. ahhh nostalgia D
I think the controller is either gunna be a hit or miss, sorta like sega dreamcast(which failed). but the fact that that thing can detect itself in 3-d space is pretty cool.

did anyone notice the lack of an ethernet port? No net once again for a nintendo console?!
PsychoAU
22-03-2006 20:40:24
It should have a net port before final design because of how much PR they are pusing for that download system of old nintendo games.

i've always been a fan of nintendo and they never cease to make an extremely terrible product, kind of like blizzard and their products.

So far, I don't like it. The GameCube is better looking. I'm sure my daughter will want one of these. She's got the last four major Nintendo products (GBA SP, GC, N64, GBA)

Meh, I've been out of the console game since Dreamcast. That is as next gen as I ever bought into. Now if only I could afford a new video card for my monster comp... ) hehehe

N64 was the end of Nintendo for me. They have a couple decent titles but I don't see myself getting a Revolution shrug PS3 and XBOX360 for sure...
PsychoAU
22-03-2006 22:36:22
Yep, Nintendo lost me at N64. I waited so long to save up for that thing then only owned 2 games. Every else were for kids or RPGs...
Not to mention that new games sometimes cost over $70 because of those archaic cartridges...
Other than being innovative at the hardware level (controller design and what not), Nintendo is pretty useless... There are only so many ways to milk the last bit out of the Mario and Zelda games...

It comes with 802.11b/g right out of the box, and if you want a wired connection you have to buy a USB to ethernet adapotor

they have built in wifi and free online gaming so squash that complaint, when it comes it totally trumps the compitition.
secondly nintendo's controllers have always been the best, and always brought forward innovation to the market
SNES - shoulder buttons
N64 - analog stick, and triggers, alsothe c-buttons used for in game camera manuverability.
gamecube - full digital buttons - the harder you press, the harder they hit etc. also first true usefull wireless controller in the wavebird.
secondly I don't see the reason to diss, if they made just another console it would be a quick third to sony and microsoft.
To me nintendo has always been about the AAA in house games, metroid, SSBM, mario, zelda, etc etc. The only good games on nintendo are the ones they make themselves, and you can only play them on nintendo
the controller sounds really cool to me its not a remote controll as much as you are using your hand to controll the game, it's a gun in a FPS. Point and shoot, buy the little add on and you actually hold a gun.

quite ironic since they started the whole video game thing.

they haven't stopped making good games, and consistently provide a better experience time after time for me
