i need some help..(i know i've been asking for help alot, but this time i really need it roll )

first off, theres something in my task manager called system idle process which usually stays at 99 CPU, and i know that it is perfectly fine. However, whenever i play my 100% smooth wc3, the game starts chopping up and when i alt tab and check whats up with my task manager, everything seems to go haywire. WHat i mean by this is everything from spoolsv.exe to explorer.exe to even msnmsgr.exe all go up to around 25-50 and makes me total CPU 100%. This causes my wc3 to lag like shit..however it drops down after awhile..and it becomes smooth again, and laggy again.. and smooth again. I ran adaware, registry mechanic, AVG anti virus.

PS This also causes all the 'mem usage' of each process to reach lower than 1000 K, which makes my computer a bit slower...which is annoying

I'm outta ideas.. could it be my computer being attacked? cry

System Idle Process, gives your computer something to do while its not doing anything.

I think your problem is with your ram, is it sd?

If this is a problem that just started, then I would recommend trying system restore(never works for any of my problems).

You also should try to run the game with everything else off, things like msn, aim, etc.. can bog down your system while playing games.

It could be numerous things, hope this gets you going in the right direction.

yeah i know but i don't remember doing anything significant that would cuase this, and its been happening about 3 days ago and going. i was thinking it'd be some virus' trying to sneak in or something like that. because it never interrupted my game play liek this before

http//www.memtest86.com/ to test the memory. Do an online virus scan if you think it's a virus. http//housecall.trendmicro.com/

i would recomend going to START RUN tpying in MSCONFIG than deselecting a bunch of things that boot up with your computer a lot of them are not needed, and just take up space. and u might even be able to find some spyware is booting up with ur computer which uses lots of resoruces.
