I would like to spend in the 200 - 300 dollar range
I am not much of a photographer, but would like a camera that can take nice pics of food(I am a kitchen manager)
I would love some feedback from the members here on cameras that you guys and gals have had or do have
what you like about them and what you dont
I have done a small amount of research on cameras myself, but any extra help you could give me would be great

is a GREAT site to get camera info and learn about the latest stuff.
i would guess you need a good point and shoot that needs no post processing.

Thanks for the great sites, but I was really looking for some personal experience that you guys have had with digital cameras and the pros and cons of those cameras

ps that cannon you linked to looked sweet, have you ever taken any pics with that camera?

I managed to get the Canon SD550 for < $300 from Dell about a month ago. Love the camera.

I got a Sony W-7 about a month ago, got a package w/ a 256MB Memory Stick, extra batteries, and a few other things, it was $318 I think, bought through ebay from a big camera company, when I called to change to faster shipping I got transfered to 3 people in their company, and they never charged me for faster shipping! You can find some good deals on them, I liek it because it has a 2.5" screen, so you can actually use the screen to view pictures.

in my searching around and going to some stores to hold and see cameras
I like the look of the sony's, but i have heard/read that the pics aren't as good as some others, any truth to that?
also really like the cannon, anyone have a casio or fugi(sp?)?
