Is that what the letter really said? What does it mean that "you are very likely to be admitted?" Sounds odd

its cause ivy leagues arent supposed to "officially" notify people who get accepted till april 1st.

Way to go! What do you plan in majoring?

ibtheib

18-03-2006 20:24:04

pre-medicine

rboyettester

18-03-2006 20:38:10

same here! i am planning to be a pediatrician (not sure if that is how you spell it) lol D

Pre-meds ... I'll ask again in 2 years.

Do you have to major in something or is pre-med considered a major? I went to a school and picked a major that was predominately pre-med. After I started watching Scrubs last year, I kind of wanted to too. Ah the memories of Baltimore.

ib, cornell rocks. if you go definitely go to hockey games )
as for being a doctor, it is all worth it. i recommend that if you want to go to medical but also want to major in something other than a science, do it. you cant tell from my computer typing but i was an english major at cornell and just took all the pre-requ courses.
ib if u go to cornell shoot me a pm or if u have any questions shoot me one as well )
congrats to u all for ur college acceptances.
also, not sure if they ivies changed things, but they can let u know before april 1st. in fact, if u do early decision like i did they have to.

I wish.

Indiana University FTW! That's where I'll be going next year. #10 business school in the country, majoring in accounting, possible double major in finance, or maybe I will go onto law school and become a tax attorney after I get my CPA.

Can someone tell me the requirements for Cornell?
Average score on SAT's, GPA requirements (my school doesnt do like 4.0 etc, we just get a weighted and unweighted average with numbers.
And any other requirements.

I am also in a lot of clubs and am president of two, and i also do gymnastics and swimming/diving.

visit collegeboard.com , they have all that stuff.

EDIT percent applicants admitted 27% ; 80% in top 10th of graduating class. Also, you are in luck because extracurriculars is under "very important admission factors"

It's hard as hell to get into Cornell. One of my friends was co-valedictorian of our school and he got denied somehow. However, he wasn't hardly in any clubs nor did he do sports his junior or senior year.

I would have a very good shot at Cornell if my test scores were better. My dream schools are Notre Dame, Tufts, Amherst College, and Bowdoin. Those are my faves. ) Hopefully with all the prep I am doing my scores will go up in December, so I can get into one of those great schools. Good luck on your acceptances guys. I should be accepted to some of my safties and matches in December, probably around my birthday, but before Christmas.
