I don't know how many of you have been following the World Baseball Classic, it has been really exciting for me to watch though.
The Cuba v DR game the other day was amazing, then the DR v Venezula game was even better.
The U.S. has been ultimatly disapointing in the classic so far, their pitching has been iffy at best(its mostly d-train thats hurtin em though).. .
Anyways though we caught another break and play mexico tomorrow to decide our fate, we beat them we advance. Good thing we got roger on the mound.

The cuba vs dominican republic rematch game should be amazing. I figured this contest would end in US, Japan, Cuba, and DR. With US and DR advancing to the final fairly easily.
US is struggling to even advance from one round to the next though. They will be lucky if they can even hold their own against korea, much less DR or Cuba.

This tournament has been amazing...finally baseball that matters in March. I've been to a couple of the games and it's like playoff atmosphere in the stadium. The Mexico Korea game was great...with all the Mexicans here in LA, they showed up in droves for that game. The US better beat them tomorrow, cause I just bought my tickets for the games on Saturday and I really don't want to see the Asain teams in the Night Cap. I want to see the boys from the USA! Willis has single handedly tried to kill America's chances, but I have no doubt that Clemens will git-r-dun tomorrow!!!

yeah these games are like playoff games, hell its more exciting than most playoffs.
imagaine DR with pedro, vlad, and manny....droool
imagine US with any of our pitchers showing up, I betcha a player like matsui regrets not being there, he alone could have been enough for japan to advance.
i also didnt know this isn't untill 2009 again, and then its every 4 years like the world cup
I still don't understand how a bunch of minor leaguers from Canada beat the US.

even worse 8 left handers and 1 right hander, vs a left handed cy young canidate. That should be a pitchers dream, oh well it's march you never know what you'll get out of your pitcher.
dtrain is used to pitching 7-9 inning games though, he had the most complete games last season if memory serves me right. So when you just yank him in the third, you don't really give him a chance to get in a groove, or make up for 3 or 4 runs allowed early.
that being said I don't want to see him on the mound the rest of the classic
