but when I open up any video file on my PC, it shows fine on my monitor, but it just shows up as black on the tv screen... Anyone know why? Thanx!

You probably have your video software set to use overlay. Overlay is a method of rendering video directly on the framebuffer using chromakey, which is the fastest method but only works with a connected monitor -- it does not work over TV-out. You should have an option in your video player settings to enable/disable overlay.

I think you have to set it up in the display settings first. Right click on your desktop for properties, then go to the settings tab, and click advanced.

Ya, I had that problems before. I had to right click on my desktop, go to display settings, click on advanced, click on displays, and click a 1 next to the TV to set it as my primary monitor. Looks like you found the same solution I did. D
