sweet ass, my dcc transfer started, 350 MB at 55k, should take an hour I guess. I can make a torrent if it is still needed after I get it.

This is the worst thread I've ever seen. Um where can I get a show? Pretty stinking obvious. I wanted to talk about how fucking insane the episode is and instead I get a page of how to get torrents...

how scary was junior looking without his teeth in there at the end?
I always look forward to the dallas morning news post episode roundtable discussion too. They always break down each scene, and list all of the symbolic meanings . Thats what I love about the sopranos, aside from it being a show based on continuity, and that it's compelling, and hilarious, it's also the smartest show on TV, and extremely psycho analitical. That opening sequence defiantly holds some meaning and validates a rewatch

It was a really good way to start the season. AJ looks like a tool with his long hair but at lest he has eyebrows again...

AJ always looks drastically different from season to season, 2 years really do a lot on him.
I think silvio wears a wig. Also that was funny how much weight vito lost.
something in my paper about last season

The last season of The Sopranos opened with an episode called "Two Tonys," a tidy summation of the show's key theme and the main reason we watch. Tony Soprano is a violent mob boss who seeks redemption through therapy, but the two impulses can never be reconciled. The tragic entertainment comes in seeing him try. Tony's quest became more difficult as his work and home life imploded. Here's a look at some of the best scenes from two years ago as a refresher course and a window into Tony's duplicitous world.
[b453cfecb06]Scene Tony is the bear[/b453cfecb06]
In the season's final moments, Tony meets with Johnny Sack to make peace between their families, but they're interrupted when federal agents descend to arrest the New York boss. Tony escapes on foot, stumbling through the snow-covered woods of suburban New Jersey and into his own back yard. His trek through the brush echoes "Two Tonys," when a bear used the same path to frighten Carmela and A.J. It was the culmination of the season's overriding mob-family plot.
The death of Johnny's boss, Carmine, triggered a war between Johnny, who expected to take over, and Carmine's son. Tony tried to broker a deal, but when one of Johnny's soldiers was murdered by Tony's cousin, also named Tony and played by Steve Buscemi, the fallout was unending. Because it made them vulnerable, Tony's own crew became angered over his refusal to hand over his cousin. Eventually, Tony had to kill him, adding to his psychological baggage – the cousin had just spent 15 years in prison for a job Tony was supposed to be in on. A panic attack, the issue that sent him to therapy in the first place, had kept Tony away.
The murdering didn't stop there. When a tortured Adriana finally confessed her complicity with the authorities, Christopher told Tony, who had Silvio take her out. "She couldn't do five years for me?" Chris asked. "I thought she loved me."
[b453cfecb06]Scene Carmela is a user[/b453cfecb06]
Tony's estranged wife makes out in a car with A.J.'s guidance counselor, played by David Strathairn. At first, she acts like a shy and nervous schoolgirl, but soon they are in his house having sex. During a second encounter, she becomes distracted by her son's academic woes and walks out. This leads the counselor to force A.J.'s English teacher to give the boy a passing grade. Soon, Carmela is back in his bed. But the counselor, not exactly innocent himself, calls her an opportunist and breaks off the affair.
For better or worse, Tony and Carmela belong together. After he made it impossible for her to hire a divorce lawyer, their marriage resumed. He had tried to court Dr. Melfi, sending her flowers and other gifts. But in another riveting scene, she told him she could never stand by silently while he plied his trade, and he lost his temper. But he couldn't stay away, returning to therapy later in the season.
A.J., meanwhile, got into more and more trouble at school and on a trip to New York City, losing his eyebrows in the process. Moving in with Tony didn't work, either, and soon he was back under his mother's roof.
[b453cfecb06]Scene Uncle Junior loses it[/b453cfecb06]
"Don't you love me?" Tony asks his uncle in one of the most poignant moments in Sopranos history.
Tony had cut off his relationship with his uncle after Junior kept saying that Tony had not been good enough to play varsity sports in high school. But after Junior wandered off looking for his long-dead brother, Tony's father, he was diagnosed with dementia, explaining a possible reason for the repetitive insults.
Still, Tony wanted to know Why didn't his uncle repeat something nice? Junior's retrial was postponed, and he spent his time under house arrest getting exceptions so he could attend funerals. At first, it was fun but eventually all the death got to him, and he had a public breakdown.
Tony's off-and-on compassion for his uncle is reminiscent of all his relationships, especially last season. If he expresses sympathy for another character, it's practically a sign he's about to turn on him or her. There are two Tonys – the one who appears to care about other people and the one who takes care of business, whatever the moral cost.[/quote453cfecb06]
made a new thread guys, with teh spoiler warning on it )
