MMMMK I was popping out a cone on a 10" Black Phantom subwoofer I got for free(I got a pair, one had the coned pushed in but both work good) and then look up and notice my tv is all different colors....I move the sub(which has a magnet...duh) and the colors kept moving.

Now the sub is nowhere near the tv and I tried unplugging it n turning it off etc. Still colory...

What I'm asking is if anyone know how the hell to fix this....I don't wanna spend more money on a new tv...so if its non-fixable I'm gonna go back to my 19" Magnavox(.

+Karma for anyone helpful.

you probably need to degauss it. there might be an option to do that somewhere in the tv menu. you might have to figure out how to access the 'service' menu which has the more complex/potentially damaging options for your TV. otherwise (and my memory is a little fuzzy on this), you have to degauss it manually which involves a small magnet and a lot of time

Most TV's nowadays degauss automatically themselves when power is cycled. Unplug the TV for awhile, a day or so if possible, then plug it back up and turn it on.

For the really stubborn ones, you can use a demagnetizer (I have an old Radio Shack tape erase I've used before). However it's really tricky to do manually, sometimes you can mess it up worse. I had a 27" RCA console TV that became magnetized in the top left corner one day, I never knew how (probably my kids doing something), and I could never get it fixed. Had to go out and buy another TV because that purple blob was annoying the crap outta me.
