I really looked forward to the Sound Mixing award to see who got it...........................................oh wait, I just wanted to see Jessica Alba.

I'm only watching it for Jon Stewart. The rest is just a bunch of over-paid people dressed in clothes that could clear this countrys debt, being told how good they are at something.

I watched the first 45 min and got extremely bored.

Ok, why he fuck does this guy need 12 platinum diamond watches, 18 rings and 6 medallions?

Ok I think that was probably the worst song I've head in my life since My Humps.

Jeez, I don't care how much street cred you might lose, you just don't go to the Oscars in a t-shirt. It's insulting.

Jennifer Garner filled out nicely up top. )

I know, even Ludacris was dressed up. Jon Stewart was an awsome choice for host.

That "song" was fucking ridiculously, mind-numbingly retarded... and it WON! shock
Granted, the competition was pretty shitty too, but that garbage won an Oscar? Wow.

I would really hate to think that that song won to draw a new audience to the broadcast. The awards existed before the show. It's not about ratings. If it is now, then the awards have lost all relevance.

I can't help but think that was a "token" Oscar as well. I'm probably going to be called racist for that statement, but that's not my intent. I would be more than happy to see a minority group win an Oscar for a musical performance... as long as it was even half way decent. And yes, that's just my opinion, but who can honestly tell me that shit was art? "It's hard out here for a pimp" and then some stuff that I could only decipher as barking or "YEAH!" I just can't view that as artistic in any way.
Oh and Jon Stewart's the fricken man and the only reason I'm watching.

"For those of you keeping scores at home, Martin Scorese - 0 Oscars. 36Mafia - 1 Oscar."
If that doesn't say it all.

That was a pretty bad song, but the competition was worse... just goes to show that we need more "Blame Canada"'s

I want to make a Reese one. Too bad Brokeback didn't win Best Picture. Crash was mediocre to me.

Crash was incredible, Brokeback was boring as hell. Good acting but it was too slow. Crash had such a good message about racism in this country and it was great how all the stories intertwined. I liked it a lot and I'm glad it won...

I have to agree. Maybe I'm acting like the Academy is known for, its beena while since I saw Crash. I still liked it though. But I could relly relate to Brokeback and I'm glad that these types of films are openly accepted in thsi country. It says so much. Either way each movie was good.

Same. Really glad Crash won Best Picture. I agree with TSJ also, I don't really like to watch "award shows" since I see them as a self-ego blow for actors. I also agree with kevxcross....I think they purposely give out a "consolation prize" for just putting effort in. Although I don't think it's racist, just insulting )
