Ok i got the first one taken care of now another...
I got two pcs I want to transfer shit from, buth have ethernet slots...
i have a Crossover cable and I heard you can connect it to each computer and setup a network, but ive been trying to do that and it hasnt been working and the workgroup is the same name...ughh...
if i could do this via ftp, i'd be happy in doing that...
both comps have WIRELESS internet, and when i try to make a connection it asks if i have internet on them, could that be affecting it?
any help?

Yes, two identical sticks (as far as specs). Preferably the same brand and model just to make sure.

Yes, but it also has to be the same size of memory. If the mobo has more than 2 DIMM slots, which I'm sure it does, you will need to check which two are designated as the DC slots. Usually it is the 2 and 3...

no, i believe that if you put DDR400 and DDR266 the mobo should run the DDR400 at 266 speed, its a system bottleneck but it should be capable of doing that. Also, you dont have to have the same amount, you can oput a gig in one slot and 128 in the other if you want, as long as the correct slots are filled. Usally its the 1 and 3 slot duel channeled and the 2 and 4 slots.

yea, what they said. its usually the first and third slot. Mines are color coded.
Though.. i'm really wondering, does DC really improve performance. I have two sticks of 512mb in dual channel mode and have yet to notice any difference.... if at all. Everything runs and loads no differently.

It makes a difference but its not that huge.
