oh man, tell me about it. no direct connection, its horrible. also slows ur computer considerably if u don't have a video card. i guess they made it to suit the upcoming windows vista?

Also depends on what kind of computer you have, I haven't experienced any problems with it running in the backround at all and my computer is as fast as ever....

Whoa, i wish i knew about that a loooong time ago. When aim 5.5 came out, i was trying to find 5.2 because i didnt like 5.5 and i cant even remember how long it took me to find it. Hours, I think.

All Trillian needs is HTML in the profiles and the Pro version has that, but I don't have to money to upgrade.

i tried trillion, got rid of it within a few hours. I had AIM 5.2 running with the latest free version of Dead AIM, which were both gotten off www.olderversion.com. However, I found this thing called Messenger Mate, which cost $5, but I bought it and that's what I'm running now. It's not compatible with 5.2, you need 5.5 or whatever the next one up of 5.2 is, which is a downfall because I hate any AIM over 5.2, but it's worth it to have MM.
