People need to take a step back when reading databases like these. Some include people convicted of statutory rape, and some of those can be 2-3 year age differences between victim and "offender". They are a minority, but some people don't deserve to be classified as sex offenders.

i agree. i don't even think that people should have to register if like they're 20 and they're girlfriend is 15 and they're fucking and the mommy walks in and reports the guy....if both parties are willing it's not rape. period.

I was told by someone that if some girl went home and told her that some kid was offering her condoms on school campus, it could result in me having to register if it was taken that far shrug

Holy @%^#! There is 1 offender with a minor offense right by my school, and about a mile from him is a house full of 9 guys, together they have charges of Burglary, Sexual assault on a child, Felony 3rd degree sex assault by force, Sex assault on a child by one in a position of trust, 3rd degree rape, Aggravated assault, and Unlawful sexual activity with a minor. shock I would hate to live anywhere near those guys!

No, i live in KS... there is a Kansas Sex Affenders list that i've already checked, only 3 in my town...

i found one guy, rapist, who is living in the apartment complex i will be moving in to in about a month. fun times!

keep in mind, though, that many of these people are guys that made a mistake. now, raping a child is a big mistake and not excusable, and i am not talking about them. but i see a lot of kids on there that are my age... surely some of them just had 17 year old girlfriends, and some dads were unhappy about it.

im just saying not EVERY SINGLE ONE of these guys is going to dart out of his front door and rip you apart. still, though, you always need to be careful.

there isn't a single rape offender anywhere around me or my school....but plenty of "offense against children" and "other offense". the closest one to me is across 2 streets from me and its listed as offense home but thats a business section O_o and the only other offense near me is in the mall...
