In light of Freepay's recent move...

I move to allow TraInn to have their own category on the forums, kinda like freepay has now. If it's gonna cost money, I say dedicated TraInn fans should do what they can to make this move possible, because AT THE MOMENT, TraInn is the best!

Everyone needs to counter this by doing referrals for really cheap to get the sites done! (

ill do any site for $1....just kidding
this "move" on their part sucks, i vote deff. for a Trainn catogory.....I'm working on YFVI now, but might just do all their sites....90 days is just BS.

01-03-2006 13:25:42
The fact that you have to send a damn voucher in before your referrals get checked is complete horst shit. Bah..I only needed 1 more on the xbox site too...
What a bunch of @$$holes doing this crap after STILL not sending out any 360s..

you're effin kidding me? you obviosuly haven't ever done an OC site.(read that forum daily and see how great it is).

So because [b5111ede2c2]Freepay[/b5111ede2c2], changed some of their terms, the results of which we haven't seen yet, we should immediately assume [b5111ede2c2]Trainn[/b5111ede2c2] (who, incidentally, I've had good results with) is the best now?
Does anyone else see a disconnect there?

While I don't agree they are best yet, FreePay certainly has been slipping as of late.

01-03-2006 15:51:34
Maybe if they improve their crediting, I would say theyre the best. I certainly have had better luck with them overall, and wouldnt mind then getting the same treatment on this forum as freepay has. Since Freepay may be kicking the bucket anyway soon, seems reasonable

TRAINN has no laptop site. They aren't quite a total alternative to Freepay or OC.

I agree with some of you. I mean Trainn hasnt really from what I understand reached Freepay status. But I've never completed a Trainn site. However, I am no longer messing with Freepay.
nobody2000
01-03-2006 17:23:15
I've had immense success with Trainn, and OC I've heard so many horror stories from...and Trainn has an AWESOME turnaround and it's only flaw is that it's easy for scammers to scam, but I really think it's the best and I think a lot of people think the same.

01-03-2006 17:26:08
Yeah, I am trying to switch over to Trainn. It's just that Trainn does not have nearly as many sites as Freepay and I am already signed up for so many sites on Freepay. I hope this new move takes money away from Freepay, if they keep this policy in effect, and transfers over to Trainn so that they can grow and create more sites.

01-03-2006 17:26:56
this is WAY shady of freepay.
i've finished mostly trainn sites, they are way good IMO. but freepay was pretty good, albeit slow, before this TOS change.

01-03-2006 19:23:00
IMHO, I prefer smaller sites such as OrderIt4Free, and Pay-Zero.
I like the 'customer service' of small sites. I also like TraInn too.
I've yet to do a OC site, and prolly won't for a while...as for Freepay, I will be really pissed if they won't let me sign up for another account on each site once my 90 is up....I know I'm not even gonna start a Freepay site for a few months....so if they don't....its dumb.

Just so you all know...Gratis named Don Charlton as Chief Executive Officer back in October. Read the Internet Herald article here http//advertising-news.internet-herald.com/phpfiles/gratis_internet_names_don_charlton_chief_operating_officer_20051031140209_6308.php
Needless to say, he's been trying to make things a bit more "corporate" at Gratis. Incidentally, Charlton's previous employer, InPhonic Inc. reported a 4th-Quarter loss of $24.6M. Read the Yahoo Finance article here http//biz.yahoo.com/ap/060221/earns_inphonic.html?.v=1
For posterity I don't agree with the move, and while I understand the rationale for the decision (the voucher is essentially a safeguard), I think they've just shot themselves in both feet. I do have a bit more to say on this, but I'd rather just let it go as it doesn't really effect me. Cheers.

really we should have seen this coming
we have always said we make up a minority of freepays customers, and we dont make them any money just cost them money. so continue to cater to us.
they got everything they wanted from us, credibility. Now that they can advertise 7 zillion dollars in gifts shipped, people don't need much else to convince them.
the best part of all of this, is they didnt add this news to their little news blog. So users that sign up tomorrow, may not even realize they are on the clock at any point, this is exactly what they want.
Even if they do know it they will just rush to complete and all most will do is fall 1 or 2 refs short.
anyone think it's possible they are on the way out the door?

02-03-2006 00:27:58
Yes, but I also think they probably have some other type of non-referral based marketing in the works. I think they'll survive in some fashion.

And by the guy that bumps his CCU thread you certainly mean the unpaid, underappreciated mod who last "bumped" (I prefer updated...) his thread on Monday January 09, 2006 at 1239 pm? I'd say thats accurate...
