There should be an option to rip and burn. Otherwise just open the ISO in Nero...

Use Nero, then drag ALL the files in the folder that you ripped the DVD to into the Video_TS folder in Nero.

The cheapest way is to buy a dual layer drive off of newegg and also an external case and put it together yourself, you should be able to save at least 40.00
Quick fact, all DVDs are copy protected, but some new dvd's have extra protection on them, from here on out i'll be referring to those dvds as copy protected.
For the few DVDs that have copy protection you need a program called voblank, you can find it off of google. A lot of people swear by the program dvdshrink to rip and burn movies, it's needed if you encounter a copy protected dvd. It's not legal anymore so you won't find it as easily as you could 3 months ago. Search torrents and you'll find it easily.
DVD Shrink will take most movies from your dvd player, shrink them, and output as an iso file for you to burn with DVD Shrink, Nero, any other iso capable burning program. This program is must have software and you can find it easily off of google or torrents.
You really don't need any other software than that... but, if you want to be super cool and have sweet custom covers for your dvds, head on over to www.r1db.com and you can download 50 hi res covers than are 20 times better than the originals for $8.00 and then just print them to glossy paper and cut. I'll post a copy of my 100% custom cover collection in a few minutes.

dts is better, but make sure your dvd player can play it, all dvd players support ac3.

i use dvdfab, and its fabulous.
it's perfect for dvd to dvd copies if you don't want to have any hassle. It rips the dvd, with menus and all and compresses it enough to fit on a single sided disc, and it still looks great. Then it burns it for you. So, an easy solution if you just want to pop in a disc and hit burn. Whole process takes over an hour on my 1.5 ghz intel.

Tv show downloads are legal after the show has been broadcast and taped by at least [b2cf31761b7]1[/b2cf31761b7] person somewhere in the US.

Are you sure? I was under the impression that they weren't, as TV shows are copyrighted. I googled quickly and several sites seem to say the same.

Just as illegal as speeding. There's no gradiated level of breaking the law, either you're on the non-breaking or the breaking side of the law.

eh? there is nothing illegal about copying non-copyrighted dvd's. The question he asked wasn't implying he planned on breaking the law at all. Although it is assumed that he will.
edit oops, i guess he did say he wanted to break the law by copying blockbuster's dvds.

[rant]Who cares? Maybe I'd go to a movie if it didn't cost so damn much. For a family of 4 to see a movie on a Friday night with some popcorn and drinks is like $50 minimum. THATS INSANE! Thats like a whole days work for some people to see some poorly written, over budgeted, special effect crappy movie...[/rant]
