Fingernails

I know this is really off-topic and everything but I have a question for people. It's kind of embarrassing but I bite my fingernails constantly and my fingernails look like crap. I've had this bad habit ever since I was little and my mom had the same problem so I may have picked it up from her.

Anyways, now I really want to quit. I was wondering if anyone had any products or advice whether it be a 3-step system or what not. I have tried the nasty tasting stuff and I just wash it off or bite them anyways. But if you know something like that which really works let me know.

I stopped biting my nails a couple of months ago after biting them my whole life. A good nail hardene reall helps. My grandma used to telle to put hot sauce on my fingers like they used to do....wtf? Spicy fingers, not me.

My brother had the same problem, and he licked the shit off that was supposed to taste bad, he loved biting his nails.... he basically just got over doing it with time

I used to have the problem. Then my dad told me that I could get diseases from the dirt that lies inside my nails. Everytime I went to bite my nails, all I thought about was the nasty shit that could live in there. I stopped shortly after.

get nervous a lot, and when your bored in school, work, etc.... look at ur nails, if they're a little long, start biting... [/thread derailment]

I never thought id get the chance to answer a question like this...

Using your "vampire" teeth (im sure thats the proper name..), bite the desired nail at an angle. Apply pressure from the finger, but be careful not to slip and scratch your gums with the nail (which fucking sucks like you wouldnt believe..) good luck!

It sounds like you're getting ingrown fingernails. I have an ingrown toenail on my left big-toe and it fucking hurts like hell. And I'm scared to go to the podiatrist because of the scary procedure cry liwinces in painli

plain willpower is all you need to stop biting your nails. Everyone bites their nails sometimes (i do in private if i notice a nail is getting too long and theres no nail clipper around) just dont do it to the point that your nails look digusting. D

if you're a weak minded, then i suggest using a nail clipper to cut your nails super short. You cant bite your nails if you dont have any right?

I'm actually working on a website and that's part of my top banner so I just copied it from there because I was too lazy to custom make anything. I just threw it all together and I thought it looked pretty good.

I have that same problem. I quit for a couple of months (cousins got long
nails and I got jealous). But then after watching hostel I bit off all my nails
again. I know it's a nasty habit but I wash my hands like 10 times a day

tie a red ribbon to your fingers, that'll stop you.
