Question about my XBox(regular) DNS sever

Hey i got a problem getting on live with my xbox. This is what i did i have my xbox plug into my pc threw a cross over cable and i have it hook to my xbox. And when i try to sign on i get a DNS sever message it says No DNS sever addresses were received from the DHCP or PPOE sever.Enter the DNS sever provided by your ISP in the Network settings menu. Thats the message i get. That is when i have my xbox connected to my pc but when it is connect to my router it is fine.. So i am wondering how do i fix this? For i wont get that message and be able to sign on?

Make sure you share internet connect.

I think your getting in over your head, buy a router and be done with it..

go to network connections.. then right click your connection and go to properties and then turn internet connection sharing on

I dont see that i dont see the internet connection sharing. I have a router. I want to bridge and in order to bridge i have to have my xbox connected to my pc
