Vongo - Unlimited Movie Downloads - $9.99 A Month

So I opened a spam mail by accident and there was a promotion for Vongo. I checked out the site and turns out you get unlimited movie downloads at $9.99 a month. Anyone signed up with them? Couldn't find anywhere if you could burn the movies, because that'd be sick. Opinions?

It takes sooo long for movies to download on my computer. It took about 5 days for this one movie to doownload, it was 4gb and still was shit for quality.

If it takes so long for you to download movies from other places, what makes you think this website will be any faster? What makes you think they will be better quality? 4gb is a full quality dvd rip.

Torrents usually aren't run off proffesional servers. It's like when I download applications it goes at maybe 5kb/s but if you get something off a webiste it goes a lot faster.

I can download from bittorrent atleast 4x faster than I've ever downloaded from a webserver.

Ditto. HTTP has finite bandwidth, meaning there is a ceiling that limits the speed @ which you can dl stuff. On torrents, however, theoretically you can have unlimited bandwidth.

Thats interesting. What kind of connection do you have? Everyone I know has much better speeds when downloading from a powerfull webserver such as Adobe or Microsoft.

haha he prob got a bootleg copy made from some guy w/ a video recorder in the theaters. i always preview movies as soon as i start d/l them so i know i got a good copy

this looks neat, i max out at 600k though. So it would take about 2 hours for a full dvd

is everyone forgetting that torrents of movies are illegal? im assuming a service u pay for would be a legal solution and that would be the interesting part for me. i see way too many people getting copyright violations (mostly from universal pictures if you're wondering) at my university.

True. I'll never trade anything online service for my Netflix.

Never heard of them, doesn't sound too good though.
