I was just wondering what everyone in a relationship was planning on doing for Valentine's Day. I have been so busy with school that I haven't planned or bought anything for my girlfriend of over 2 1/2 years. I just tried to make a reservation at this nice Italian place but no luck, they are all booked. I don't know what I am going to do yet. Maybe just go somewhere for lunch, that way we don't have to go anywhere at night. Stupid hyped up holiday.

I saw a necklace 2 months ago that I planned to go back and get her. Just called, and they're out.

Now I'm scrambling to rent a car and make hotel reservations somewhere in New England (or possibly NYC).

Any suggestions?

$800 bucks a night?!? That's a death trap. Try living up to those expectations for next Valentine's day.

Fuck em, let them say its lame, she liked it and it worked for you.

My wife loves lobster, and she makes dinner for me every nite, so tomorrow nite I will be cooking some lobster and some spaghetti, a little tomato sauce and I am picking up her favorite dessert, cannoli from this amazing little bakery nearby. I also had some roses sent to her job.

Knowing that you dont cook, and that she is a chef, she'd appreciate any effort you made to cook her dinner. Trust me. Don't get complicated...go simple. Anyone can make red sauce (buy a jar of prego if you are scared) and get some ravioli, make it a little nicer by finding a real italian type deli that sells homemade sauce and ravioli.

Ravioli is simple to cook, pour some sauce on it and serve it with a loaf of bread on the side and you are a hero. Light candles and you are a romantic.

Got no use for a car in Boston. My current transportation expenses are about $350 a year, versus about $350 a month if I owned a car (including parking, gas, insurance).

The timing just happens to be right for this. I haven't taken a vacation in over a year, I've never been to Montreal, and I'm sittin' on a little cash. I wouldn't do it if I didn't want to.

Well...since my girlfriend and I both have school today (Valentine's Day) and will be apart until the weekend...I brought her a Triple red-rose arrangement Sunday (3 is our favorite number, we started dating in '03, I graduated in '03 - 3 just an all-around significant number for us), and gave her two cards that she opened at midnight last night while on the phone with me. I'm sure she was wondering why she was getting two cards...little did she know one of the cards was actually from her cat ;) Fortunately I was able to find the PERFECT cards and I could tell she [i07d364f617]really[/i07d364f617] liked them. I had her open the "romantic" one first, then the funny one from her cat second...basically to get the lovie-dovie stuff out, then add some humor before we said our "I Love You's" and went back to doing our schoolwork. We will exchange gifts this weekend - I don't really know what we'll be doing yet, I have this week to plan and buy a gift...but I got her the 2006 Jones Soda Valentine's Pack[=http//www.jonessoda.com/files_new/valentines06.html]2006 Jones Soda Valentine's Pack (I paid $7.99 shipped ) ) with a nice custom message as somewhat of a unique/memorable/funny gift (I <3 Jones Soda, and she usually buys me one when she goes to Panera Bread).
