wow...while this page was loading i was saying to myself...please dont say the mavericks, please dont say the mavericks....low and behold, you said it....dont get me wrong they have a huge chance of winning it all, but i dont think that in a seven-game series they can beat the spurs or detriot for that matter....those two are just way too good at figuring teams out and ruining everybodys "cinderella year"....although i must say congrats on having the deepest bench in the past 6 years of b-ball wink .....

Dude the Rockets almost beat the Pistons and lost by only 2 and they suck right now. Anyone can get lucky and beat the Pistons but they are still the team to beat.

defense, dallas can play defense with the best teams in the league. i won't stand up and say they are better than the pistons or the spurs, but they are definatly in that class

avery johnson, ever since he came up as coach the team has changed completly.

also the bevy of young stars we have on our team doesn't hurt.

Now I know we will beat the spurs this year, the pistons are another matter though.

it was the beginning of the season when the pistons were playing the best basketball in the leauge.

You can't turn that against the mavs anyhow, when they have 2 more losses than the pistons yet beat all the best teams in the leauge.

Just think of the Mavs like the Colts. That will put it into perspective for what happened last season and what will happen again this season.

johnson has done a hell of a job with that defense....i remember when i used to laugh whenever someone mentioned the word defense around dallas lol ....

forgot to bitch about how the rockets are NOT a bad team this year...weve just had the worst case of injuries that the NBA has every had IMO....so look for a nice little run the second half of this season....

and thats it, no one else has won.

The mavs have been a top team for the past 5 years or so, so this might be the year they break through, maybe not.

I was just showing my team some love though, because right now there is nothing more they can do to get me excited about them in the postseason this year.

yes nelly had a run and gun offense, much like what pheonix runs now.

and yes the rockets could very well make the playoffs this year. They could also miss it cause their division is the toughest in all of basketball.

Well, the mavs shut me up and actually beat the spurs shock , my praises to johnson who lead this team through their amazing season and its only getting better.....This series was my only playoff mis-prediction in three years, congrats on stumping the master.....

Of course the Mavs have a GREAT chance of beating out the pistons....In fact, when I made that post, it was a little hard to choose between them...The only reason I choose the Pistons to win was because I believe in their game and the Mavs, at times, can become sloppy and un-coordinated...wheras the Pistons have such great chemistry together and have been there, done that.....

But, yeah, if the Mavs beat out the Pistons, I won't be suprised and I welcome anyone to stick it in my face that the Mavs ruined all of latest predictions because I underrated them....

Really though, I think I underate them because of what they did to my Rockets in the last playoffs cry
