I have $200 (maybe a few $'s more) and I need to get some RAM and a new Keyboard and Mouse.

My Motherboard manufacturer is Biostar, and they say this on their site about RAM compatibility

[quote56ef7874dd]Biostar motherboards are designed and manufactured to be compatible with the widest range of memory modules on the market. Through our partnerships with leading memory manufacturers, Biostar has devised a comprehensive evaluation and validation process to ensure compatibility between Biostar motherboards and these manufacturers' memory products. [b56ef7874dd]Below you will find a list of our partners.[/b56ef7874dd] More will be added as they pass our validation process.[/quote56ef7874dd]

The partners are CMTL, Buffalo and Kingston.

I took it as being that those comapnies have a partnership with Biostar, but those are not the only brands of RAM that work with Biostar Motherboard, however some people on NewEgg have complained that not all RAM works with their Motherboards.

Should I risk spending money on RAM that might not work? Or just get it and if it doesn't work, keep it until I upgrade my Motherboard?

These good choices for RAM and Keyboard?

i dont know anything about ram

however I got the Logitech dinovo bluetooth wireless desktop for $93 shipped . It was a refurb, but still a great steal and I know one of the best if not the best wireless combos out there.

for some reason it shows $140 now. Maybe call them up say you saw it on pricewatch the other day for 93. I dunno maybe this is a newer more expensive model

Yeah it's $153 on NewEgg. Looks pretty sweet but what's the battery life and range like?

I havent recharged the ones on my keyboard in about 1.5 weeks.

the station is a charger for the mouse so in theory you can swap out the battiers each day and never worry about buying a charger

i bought one anyhow though

range as in how far it works from? Mine seems to work great from far away. I've gone through bathroom to a neighboring bedroom and whay i typed came out

That's cool.....I have rechargable batteries and a charger so that won't be a problem.

It's a little bit expensive though.

yeah I wouldn't necesserily go above $100 on it

but I found it for $93, so take a look around i'm sure you can find a better keyboard than that combo

I'm typing on the same keyboard right now. D

It's pretty nice because you can program it to open certain applications with the click of one of the buttons you choose on your keyboard.

And there's a lot of good media control here too.

The only downside of this keyboard is the control c function doesn't work very well for me for some reason. Maybe it's just mine because we have another one down in the basement and that one works fine. I think I'll switch that keyboard with mine. P

But anyway, great keyboard and great mouse. Both of them are really comfortable and it's definately worth the money.

however that might be a little too high priced....

I'd go with this

Isn't it ironic the name of this topic is "Input"? P

Did you install the software that it came with? Just install that and it's pretty straight forward.

lol he said $200 max so you offer a $5 usb keyboard and a $2000 space cowboy special

that hardly qualify's as decent input IMO

lmao.... space cowboy special rofl

The keyboard retails for $35 - and by the time he spends $120 on RAM, $20 on a wireless mouse...then he'd still have a few dollars left over to buy a green on logitech.giftfiesta.

i am going to get the logitech g5 mouse soon. it is like 40 or so on newegg

hehehhehe

I used to want that DiNovo combo but heard a lot of mixed reviews about it so I never got it. For under $100 it's pretty nice tho. It went from 2.5 stars from when I was looking at it to 3.5 stars on Amazon.

That LX700 is supposed to be good, although I don't know how that mouse (Logitech Cordless Click! Plus Rechargeable Optical Mouse) will perform when you play FPS.

I also say Kingston is good ram and you can usually find a decent deal on them, but all three of the ones you linked (corsair and ocz) are good. You can get 1gb of the Kingston HyperX right now at zipzoomfly for $84AR (http//www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=80097-20[]http//www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=80097-20).
